From "Comfort Gifts," The Stegosaurus Scarf

The perfect project to battle that last bit of cabin fever with before the warm weather arrives! This scarf is an excerpt from the new book Comfort Gifts by designer Carol Anderson (If youve never tried one of her patterns before, you shouldtheyre really great)! This scarf  will remind you of a stegosaurus dinosaur! Its a cute scarf with points along each side. It is written in 2 sizes, so the width is dependent upon the yarn and needles you choose. Using various yarns, the effect varies. Have fun!

Materials: 150 (200) yards and recommended needle size for yarn

Directions: Cast on 2 stitches. Knit every row, increasing 1 stitch in the last stick every row until you have 13 (19) sts.

Knit 1 row. Begin pattern (keep track of your rows until you have a comfort level with the pattern).

Rows 1-12: Knit 6, yarn over, knit to the end of row.

Row 13: Bind off 6, knit 18 (24).

Row 14: Bind off 6, knit 12 (18). Repeat pattern rows 1-14 until scarf is desired length. When final row 14 is completed, create a point at the end by knitting each row and decreasing one stitch at the end of each row until 2 stitches remain. Knit to together. Weave in yarn ends and wear!
