Ties (make 2): With crochet hook, attach yarn at point of earflap and chain to 12 (or desired length). Fasten off. Tie ends of chain in knot and bury tails in knot.
Tassel: Wrap yarn around 7 piece of cardboard 8 times. With separate 16 length of yarn, tie strands together at one end of wrap. Cut strands at opposite end. With a 24 length of yarn, starting 1 below tied end, wrap yarn around strands a few times, then tie off burying tail in center of tassel. Attach to point of hat securely and weave in tails.
