Explanation:

This web site uses Javascript to provide features that enhance usability and a built in Microsoft ActiveX Control that overcomes Internet Explorers inability to properly display certain graphic image formats.

Bouncing Baby Booties 

Materials: A small ball each of any solid and multi-colored baby or sock yarn.

Needles: size 2

Gauge: 6-8 sts and 13 rows = 1

Note: These booties are made using garter stitch (knit every row)

Color Pattern: Cast on with solid color, k 1 row. Attach multi-colored yarn and k 2 rows. Change back to solid color and work 2 rows. Carry yarn not in use along the side (top of booties)

Directions: Following color pattern, begin at back, cast on 50 sts. Work in garter st for 2 (24 rows). Bind off 12 sts at beg of next 2 rows (26 sts). K20 rows (1.5).

Next row: Dec 1 st at beginning and end of row (24 sts). K1row even.

Next 2 rows: K2tog across

Break yarn leaving enough to sew seam (12), draw through remaining 6 sts, pull up, fasten securely (toe end).

Fold T in half. Sew front and back seams. Decorate the top of the cuff with crochet trim as follows: Attach yarn at the back of cuff, ch.2 (single crochet in the ditch and chain 1). Rep around. Slip stitch in the second chain and work in end. (I really like these, so feel free to make a pair or two for me!!!)
